Sketches and Observations
yes...I started to OFFICIALLY do some recreational sketching. This is not to be confused with the BS I doodle on my stuff. This is serious, like practicing 'Still Life' (AKA sketching some stuff that is randomly positioned together), amond other things. Trying to get a camera. When I do, I will upload the stuff I have on here.
And, observation: She has not been observed to be on msn since...dunno(read: DAMN long ago). Haiz. Hope to see her at Dayna's birthday party tomorrow. And, YES! Finally finishing my SFA tomorrow. Passing should not be a problem.

Knowing oneself better...coz it is necessary, or at the very least, essential
Your view on yourself: (Rather true)
Other people find you very interesting, but you are really hiding your true self. Your friends love you because you are a good listener. They'll probably still love you if you learn to be yourself with them.
The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for: (True)
You are not looking merely for a girl/boyfriend - you are looking for your life partner. Perhaps you should be more open-minded about who you spend time with. The person you are looking for might hide their charm under their exterior.
Your readiness to commit to a relationship: (Depends...for love IS irrational at times)
You prefer to get to know a person very well before deciding whether you will commit to the relationship.
The seriousness of your love: (True)
You are very serious about relationships and aren't interested in wasting time with people you don't really like. If you meet the right person, you will fall deeply and beautifully in love.
Your views on education: (Knowledge is power, enough said)
Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.
The right job for you: (How fun...and true)
You have plenty of dream jobs but have little chance of doing any of them if you don't focus on something in particular. You need to choose something and go for it to be happy and achieve success.
How do you view success: (Not so certain about tha last part...though I will not stop trying)
You are confident that you will be successful in your chosen career and nothing will stop you from trying.
What are you most afraid of: (E.g. Death)
You are afraid of things that you cannot control. Sometimes you show your anger to cover up how you feel.
Who is your true self:(True)
You like privacy very much because you enjoy spending time with your own thoughts. You like to disappear when you cannot find solutions to your own problems, but you would feel better if you learned to share your thoughts with a person you trust.

Pain, Fear and Parallels
This is it. My confession. The one reason why I revived this blog. But, in tandem with this purpose, anoymity shall remain a constant. Don't try to guess. You will hurt your head.
I love you. This took me a lot of time to consider. Emotionally, rationally, all angles analysed. And this, is my conclusion: I love you. No need to fool myself anymore, that all I feel is just a fleeting infatuation.
Yet, the pain will not stop. Even as I type, it intensifies, threatening to tear me apart. And I have only myself to blame. It is my fault that I lack the courage to approach you, only able to glance from afar. I dare not do more, for I fear rejection, which may hurt more, and I fear pain. But this pain, the pain of distance, I shall bear.
I fear that I am not good enough for you, that there is someone else better in your life, and I may interfere with your destiny. Therefore, I keep my distance, always an observer, unable to act, unwilling to change.
This may one day end. We may walk our separate paths. If so, I will always remember you, your every expression, your voice, your shadow. If our paths converge, I will do my best, to protect you, to give you the love you deserve. But, as of now, our paths neither diverge nor converge. Just run parallel, with me feeling the pain deep within.
At the very least, it is not the other way round, and the pain, it is mine to bear...

Bio, Econs and GP...as if normal life is not bad enough
Bio: 54.7% -> C
Horrendous essay, and really bad, in general.
GP: 54% -> C
Better than expected, but won't do for A-levels. Summary needs to be improved seriously.
Econs: 28.35% -> U
F Fail, nuff said. Didn't complete essay. And too much examples when not required, none when required.

WCF hits(...) and misses(plentyful)
Summary:
1st half: Fail -> Pass left, right, center, then...continue -.-"
2nd half: Disappointing -> Lots of misses, no hits. (Fell asleep)
1st extra: More misses. but slightly more interesting
2nd extra: Torres on field...
Ate damn lot of junk food, took small naps, drank cold caffeine in a can (coke). As of now, it looks like it is going to the penalties. And I am freezing, thnx to ESY and his damn cold air-con.
The referee really likes yellow cards (and just gave Holland their first 2Y = R card). Cameraman really like to take people spitting. Xavi's eyes are DAMN big. Fail free kick from the red card. Another yellow for Holland 2. A good half or more on the pitch have a yellow, minus the goalkeepers. Must be going for some record. Number of yellow cards with minimal send-offs. ESY's lenovo is not fully protected. (McAfee). Damn lot of offsides, start to resemble the FIFA '09 game we played before the match. Also Spain vs Holland, with Spain thrashing Holland. Torres, @sin thinks, just swore. The match is damn discouraging. Holland took another FK (free kick), and missed. SPAIN SCORED!!!!! All hail Paul the potential takoyaki. A beautiful slam across the goal. "The net is disturbed for the first time!"~ Commentator. 3 more min. Now Spain just have to defend.
2 more min additional time...WTF...another yellow, and the Holland goalkeep ran out??? 45 more min to end game.

Death...and whatever that follows
What happens after death? Most religions would either believe in an location of eternal rest or damnation for the afterlife, depending on your behaviour in life (heaven, hell, and the rest), or maybe just wandering spirits. Unfortunately, I don't subscribe to such believes (or for some, not inclined to, but acknowledged the possibility). Therefore, I tried to think of the afterlife from a scientific perspective. Assuming the inexistence of a soul, our memories, and experiences, would be stored in our brain as synapses between nerve cells. Everytime we encounter new information, a new pathway of neurons form. We tap into this memory through the passage of electrical current. Now that we have got that settled, lets look at death. When we are so called 'brain-dead, there is a lack of electrical activity in the brain. From a descriptive point of view, assuming natural, painless death, we 'fall asleep'...forever. That IS scary...when you come to think about it.

Scissors, Paper, Stone code, and a post-result reflection on Chem
Remember, all roads (or rather, multiple roads) lead to Rome. Feel free to create your own method.
:ClrHome
:Disp "1-SCISSORS"
:Disp "2-PAPER"
:Disp "3-STONE"
:Input "CHOICE: ",X
:If X=1:Then:Disp "SCISSORS":Goto A:Else:If X=2:Then:Disp "PAPER":Goto A:Else:If X=3:Then:Disp "STONE":Goto A:Else:Disp "INVALID INPUT":Stop
:Lbl A
:randInt (1,3)->Y
:If X=Y:Then:Disp "DRAW":Goto B:Else:If (X-Y)=-1:Then:Disp "WIN":Goto B:Else:If (X-Y)=2:Then:Disp "WIN":Goto B:Else:Disp "LOSE":Goto B
:Lbl B
:If Y=1:Then:Disp "SCISSORS":Else:If Y=2:Then:Disp "PAPER":Else:Disp "STONE"
Scissors = 1
Paper = 2
Stone = 3
Scissors wins Paper, Paper wins Stone -> (1-2)=(2-3)=-1
Stone wins Scissors -> (3-1)=2
There, I even gave you the maths involved.
CHEM: 59.4% (47.5/80)-> B (by rounding up)
B1(d) Need practice on balancing redox equation.
B2(a) Forgot where I left off.
B3(b)(iii) pV=nRT will suffice.
As of now.
I shall keep Her results to myself...

Programming on my GC~1: Number-Guessing Game
Today, I finally realised another function of the GC: to burn time-efficiently (AKA programming). Due to the lack of variable labels, it is quite hard for me to programme anything of significance, hence, as of now, I am sticking to volume and suface area calculations. Also, I was able to code a number-guessing game. The usual exercises to maintain my programming knowledge. The code for the number-guessing game is below, with some explanation.
PROGRAM:-name-
:ClrHome //Clears screen
:0 -> S //Resets move counter
:randInt(1,100) -> Y //Randomly generate the answer.
:Lbl A //Labelled this point as A. Its use will be revealed later
:(S+1)-> S //Counts the move
:Input "NUMBER?",X //Asks the player for a guess, stored as X
:If X=Y //Correct guess
:Then:Disp "WIN":Disp "SCORE: ",S:STOP //Informs player that the game is won, and display score (no. of moves). Stops the game.
:Else:IF X>Y //Guess is too big
:Then:Disp "SMALLER":Goto A //Informs player that the guess is too big
:Else:Disp "BIGGER":Goto A //Last option: Guess is too small.
*Goto A causes the program to return to the point labelled A. (See above.) The program then resumes from there, which in this case asks for another guess, without resetting the answer.
Notes:
1)Each new line of code is preceded by a colon.
2)If -condition-:Then:-procedure-:Else:-procedure-
* The Else can be followed by another If statement.
3)a -> X: Gives the variable X the value a. Takes the latest declared value.
I.E.
1 -> X
2 -> X
X=2 (not 1)
4)Disp number/value of variable/"alphabetical statements" (must be in colons)
The tutorial which I used, and strongly recommend, is at http://www.ticalc.org/programming/columns/83plus-bas/cherny/

A win and a fail doesn't negate each other, especially if they differ in subject
Win: Titration readings give a ownage 7.76 on average.
Fail: ... *goes and slash wrist...
Can't believe it. Fate had to be cruel like that, hadn't it? She is Catholic. You might think this doesn't matter. Not unless you realise that I am atheist. Hopes that she doesn't mind. And no, I am NOT converting...

An Objection of the not-so-violent kind
I am sure you all have read the brilliant *cough* line that SMRT CEO had to say. Personally, I wondered if a) Had she taken the MRT during the peak hours, and b) Did her brain get to process that thought before it was expressed. I shall ignore all statistics, as they can be skewed, and even if not, is ineffective at time when representing the situation. The point is, at certain stations such as City Hall and Raffles Place, there are no seats even at NON-PEAK hours. On peak hours, good luck trying to even enter the train. And, it happens to ALL the trains. Did she even talk about choice? Now that b) has been addressed, lets move back to a). Does she take the MRT on a daily basis? I doubt so. Given her nice salary, she probably drives. Who, in their right minds, would voluntarily get crushed in the trains if they have another alternative?
Moral of the story: Think before you speak. Enjoy the backlash otherwise. Nuff said.

CTs, FIFA, and a Prologue *cough*
EconomicsI should not have spent so much time thinking about how the essay question sucks, for it led to me unable to finish part b of the essay (wrote only PED, and left out YED and XED). Therefore, there is a need to improve my writing speed. On the bright side, I finished my case study.
ChemistryI REALLY have to be more careful with my question numbers. Created a part(b)(iii) out of none. And, I damn electron affinity questions...adding an electron to a negatively charged particle (O-) = repulsion. OMG, I really suck.
MathsFinished the paper. Maths department was being damn nice. However, still managed to forget a step in Qn 2.
BiologyAfter Chem and Bio, I swear QUOTE: The Science Department is out for blood. UNQUOTE ~thesilentwhisperer@wordpress. The electron micrograph is simply fatal. Like, is that a mitochondria, chloroplast, or lysosome? Seriously fail. But the MCQ had slightly more than sufficient time to finish. Bio department just got beyond godlike in a matter of 1 second. The second we opened the paper.
FIFA:
SUCKS. Nuff said. Stupid referee (for not seeing and awarding the goal), and even more stupid IT department (for not using video tech), and the stupidest of all, the EXCO (for deciding NOT to use video tech, opting for a stupid referee's eyes). Result: England went home. OUCH.
And now, the prologue.
She likes ice Milo. (Or have at least shown a preference)
She has mid-length hair.

HOTA troubleshooting...
In the first place, why the hell am I troubleshooting a govt policy? This really should not be my job in the first place. My job is to study for A-levels. However, this is getting ridiculous. As you all may know, I hardly speak up. Here I go.
Firstly, HOTA contradicts with the Hippocratic Oath, a mandatory pledge that all doctors must take upon entering service. It states that, paraphrased, a doctor's job is to save lives, and NOT to play God (SPORE not included). However, cadaveric organ transplant requires the donor to be declared brain-dead. Actually, declaring anyone brain-dead should not be done by those under the Hippocratic Oath. It is, in a sense, playing God. There should be a specialised hospital official in charge. And in light that the organ transplant is indeed a money-making "business", these official should NOT be paid commission. Even better, it should ideally be voluntary. This allows for a neutral stand.
Secondly, I have issues with the HOTA (GOV)'s definition of death. It states that, as I quote, "A person who is brain dead is truly and unequivocally dead and will never wake up nor regain consciousness again." B.S. Why would cryo be so popular among those who can afford it then? I personally think that for a person to be considered dead, ALL vital metabolic functions should have stopped. I will ignore ressurections for the time being, to be merciful. A brain-dead person CAN have a beating heart, AND performs respiration, which is, as all biology students should know, a metabolic process.
Thirdly, anyone who opt-out of HOTA is placed at a lower piority in the organ donation queue, which, may I remind the world, is painfully long. This in equivalent for striking opt-outers off the list. I understand the government's aim for doing this is (I hope) to attract more donors. However, this method is extremely unfair, and morally wrong. No one should be denied medical treatment. And, yes, even B. Madoff. The government should find other avenues for attracting donors. Hospital subsidies are very enticing, you know.
Fourthly, the default opt-in status have created a bloody lot of mess. It should be scrapped, replaced with a neutral status until, say, 21, when people choose to either opt-in or opt-out. Deceased below 21 should have their parents/relatives decide for them. There will be less conflict this way.
There was a case when a brain-dead stroke patient had his organs harvested despite the objections of the patient's relatives. The hospital staff pushed the patient out of the ward's back door while the police stopped the relatives. There was even a confrontation with the police. I think, in this case, the hospital staff could have been more tackful. Also, the police should not have aggrevated the situation by tauting the relatives. This highlights the problems caused by the default opt-in policy. Also, the hospital, Singapore General Hospital, a government hospital, refused the relative's request to transfer the patient to Tan Tock Seng Hospital for second opinion on the brain-dead declaration. This is also erronous in nature, as well as putting SGH in a bad position as a patient should not be deprived of a chance to recover, and TTSH have a very professional stroke treatment department. Besides that, it makes SGH seem like it was eager to harvest the organs. I hope it is not true, but if it is, there is a serious attitude problem.
Hence I conclude my S$0.02 worth by saying that the government should take a relook at this policy, how hopitals handle the patient's relatives, and also the attitude as well as mindset of hospital management, and if necessary, make ammendments.
Ammedments: This guy still says it better. *Hungs head in shame*

Headshot!
Good news? Bad if followed by this:*scream* "You have startled the Witch!" Yeah, crap. That was exactly what I did. Stupidity at its prime. After all, I am well-informed about how bloody high the Witch's HP is. (1000, for those who don't) Anyway, what I did was to headshot the Witch with a hunting rifle, effectively doing insignificant damage, startling it, and getting myself killed. Note to self: Next time, just ninja away. Like, far, far away.
Oh, and also, after looking at that stupid GP dianostics, my mom thinks i need tuition. I mean, HELLO! That was a dianostics. Anyway, as if I will choose to write on media. Stupid. Oh, and I got an S for it. But still, that definitely does not call for tuition. It was a new topic after all.
That, my dear reader, is how bad my life is.

OMG! I cycled with a bad knee.
Yep, today I went cycling. With a half-healed knee. The blood clot, naturally, got split open when I bent my knee, but it was bearable. Actually, the main point of today's trip was to try flying our kite. Failed miserably as there was not enough wind, and it kept on changing direction. Quite impressed with those people who managed to get theirs flying for a long time. One kite was so steady, it was tied to the lamp post, and left alone. Wow. THAT is pro. Must evaluated today's results...

After a long a torturous journey, through the dungeons of the Internet, I have finally obtained a copy of L4D. Special thanks go to the administrators of 4shared, and Mister/Missus Skullptura, for the wonderful file compression technique you brought to the world, benefitting mankind and allowing us to progress. Yeah, thats about all, for now.
